$4.2-Million in TIP funds secured for Goldsmith Street. On June 26, 2008, the State gave final approval for $4.2-million in Federal Fiscal Year 2008 TIP (Transportation Improvement Plan) funds for the reconstruction of Goldsmith Street in Littleton. Read more

Board of Selectmen Goals Adopted. The Board of Selectmen held a public hearing on Monday, June 23, 2008 and adopted goals for FY 2009. Read more.

Economic Development.  What sort of economic development do we want and where? The Town held a first public forum on May 21st. Economic Development Strategic Plan and Expedited Permitting projects are commencing with the help of a team from MAPC. IBM, Cisco approved as "priority development sites." Read more    

Town Offices Relocate: Financial officers on the second floor. Regulatory boards and departments on the third floor, plus a new additional meeting room. And more space for the Council on Aging. Read more.

Senior Citizen Property Tax Work-Off Program. The FY 2009 Senior Citizen Property Tax Work-Off Program  sign up is from June 1 to 30, 2008, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Council on Aging Office. You must sign up in person. There is NOT an automatic re-enrollment. You must be 60 years of age to participate. Read more about it.

Town Board Openings: Many town board appointments expire June 30, 2008, and the Board of Selectmen is accepting applications for appointment and reappointment to town boards including: Community Preservation CommitteeCouncil on AgingDisability CommissionOpen Space and Recreation Plan Implementation Committee, and Permanent Municipal Building CommitteeContact the Selectmen's office for more information. 

Town Meeting & Election. Voters completed action on the May 5, 2008 Annual & Special Town Meetings, adopting an FY 2009 Operating Budget for $29.6-million, and approving borrowing for roadway improvements, police station design, and Russell Street School feasibility. Read moreTown Election Results.  May 10, 2008 Annual Town Election voters approved debt exclusion ballot questions for (1) design of a new police station, (2) feasibility/design study for Russell Street School repairs; and capital exclusion ballot questions for (3) Town Hall roof repairs, (4) replacing HVAC units at the Shaker Lane School, (5) school technology/computers, and (6) fire department personal protective gear. Read the results.
