Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the purchase and installation of odor control modifications for the Wastewater Treatment Plant, located at the Littleton High School, King Street, Littleton, MA be received at the office of the Savas C. Danos, General Manager, Littleton Electric Light and Water Department, 39 Ayer Road, PO Box 2406, Littleton, MA 01460, until 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at which place and time said bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids must be received in duplicate in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “Odor Modifications”. All inquiries should be directed to Savas Danos at (978) 486-3104. The work is being coordinated by the Littleton Light and Water Department for the Littleton Sewer Department. Specifications can be obtained at the Littleton Light & Water Departments Administration Building, 39 Ayer Road, Littleton, MA 01460, Monday through Thursday between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified cashier’s check payable to the Littleton Water Department for the sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, or accompanied by a bid bond in the like amount of a corporate surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The successful bidder must furnish insurance certificates or copies of insurance policies, if required, within ten (10) calendar days of the award. If the successful bidder fails to enter into the contract, and furnish the required forms, the bidder may forfeit the bid surety, at the option of the town. Bids shall be prepared, considered, and the contract awarded in accordance with all statues governing such contracts.
