LFD Apparatus - Engine 2- 1998 Ferrara Engine 2 is a 1998 HME/Ferrara Rescue Pumper with a 1250 GPM pump, a 1000 gallon water tank, and a 20 gallon Class A foam tank. It is powered by a Cummings turbo diesel engine and an Allison electronic automatic transmission and seats 5 personnel, 4 with SCBA. It has a side-mount pump panel, pre-piped and demountable deck guns, and carries 1500' of 4" hose, 500' of 2-1/2" hose and 450' of 1-3/4" hose. A combination lucas extrication tool. It also carries a full complement of medical equipment including oxygen, a defibrillator, and a stretcher. Its enclosed cab was designed with enough room for treating and even transporting sick or injured patients. As a Type V ambulance, it can transport victims if an MCI is declared. It is first due to all alarm investigations, structure fires, and emergency medical calls.
