LFD Apparatus - Engine 3 - 1994 Ford/Fire Resources Engine 3 is a 1994 Ford Super-Duty/Fire Resources mini-pumper and quick attack truck with a Hale Q500 demountable pump, a 250 gallon water tank, and a 12 gallon Class A foam tank. It is powered by a Ford 7.3 liter diesel engine and a Ford automatic transmission, and includes 4 wheel drive for off-road or winter driving conditions. It carries 400' of 2-1/2" supply line, hundreds of feet of brush hose, and several pre-connected attack lines including 300' of 1-1/2" hose (cross-laid), 150' of 1-3/4" hose (cross-laid), and 500' of 1-3/4" hose. It also carries a full complement of brush firefighting equipment, two SCBAs in packs, and medical equipment including a semi-automatic defibrillator and resuscitation equipment. It is first due to brush fires and is the primary quick response vehicle for personnel working during the weekends.
