LFD Apparatus - Engine 4 - 2007 Smeal

Engine 4 is a 2007 Smeal/Serius II rescue/pumper, powered by a Caterpillar engine and an Allison transmission. It is equipped with a Hale 1500 GPM pump with a Fire Research PumpBoss electronic pressure governor and carries 1000 gallons of water and 20 gallons of class A foam. It seats 5 firefighters with an SCBA for everyone, including the driver. This truck is first due to all calls during the staffed day shift including medicals, motor vehicle crashes, structure fires, and alarm investigations. The vehicle was designed to allow a limited number of personnel to be highly effective at hanlding all types of calls. It has a full complement of firefighting and medical equipment including a top-mounted deck gun that is remotely controlled from the pump panel, a pre-connected Amkus rescue combination tool, and a semi-automatic defibrillator.
