LFD Apparatus - Medical 2 - 2003 Ford/Road Rescue The Littleton Fire Department operates two basic life support (BLS) ambulances and utilizes paramedics from Emerson Hospital in Concord for advanced life support (ALS) when necessary. Medical 2 is a 2003 Road Rescue Type III ambulance built on a Ford E450 chassis. Along with a full complement of emergency medical equipment and supplies, it also carries a cardiac defibrillator and epinephrine auto-injectors ("Epi-pens"®) for bee stings or other severe allergic reactions. Littleton currently operates at the EMT-Basic level with defibrillator and epi-pen abilities. Emerson Hospital provides 2 paramedics in a rapid response vehicle to intercept with our ambulances enroute to the hospital.  |
