LFD Apparatus - Haz-Mat Trailer - 1997 Cargo Trailer The Littleton Fire Department has a cargo trailer filled with 500 pounds of absorbent, hazardous materials suits, absorbent pads and booms, and a wide array of other materials and tools to mitigate minor hazardous materials incidents. Purchased in 1997 using funds collected from previous hazardous materials clean-up operations, the 12 foot cargo trailer is lighted inside and can be brought to a scene by various vehicles including Car 11,Car 12, Engine 3, and the Rescue. For larger or more complex hazardous materials incidents, the LFD calls upon neighboring departments with similar trailers or the District 6 Hazardous Materials team. |
